The NBA regular season is set to tip off Oct. 22 with a two-game slate featuring the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics, along with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers.
The offseason was full of notable roster changes with the Eastern Conference getting aggressive to load up on talent. With the field chasing the Celtics, Paul George left the LA Clippers for the Philadelphia 76ers, while the Knicks traded for Mikal Bridges and Karl-Anthony Towns.
The Western Conference was busy making moves as well. Coming off an NBA Finals loss, the Dallas Mavericks enticed Klay Thompson to leave the Golden State Warriors after a 13-year tenure. The Oklahoma City Thunder swapped out Josh Giddey for Alex Caruso and added Isaiah Hartenstein.
With the last six champions all being different teams, the league’s parity is as high as it’s been in decades. There are many teams with a viable chance to win it all next season. With that being said, here’s our latest championship index for the 2024-25 NBA season.
