What happened to Chris Olave? Live injury updates for NFL Week 6

UPDATE 1:45 p.m.: Chris Olave has been ruled out with a concussion, and will miss the remainder of the Saints’ Week 6 game against the Buccaneers.

This is obviously a huge dagger to a Saints offense, which already had a tough task ahead of them with a rookie starting at QB in Spencer Rattler.

UPDATE 1:28 p.m.: Chris Olave is in the Saints locker room being evaluated for a concussion, according to Ari Meirov.

UPDATE 1:24 p.m.: Chris Olave is now headed to the Saints locker room with an undesignated injury. He walked to the tunnel with trainers as soon as he left the blue medical tent.

We assume the team will announce an injury designation shortly, and will continue to update Olave’s status in this space.

After only receiving one target from rookie QB Spencer Rattler, Chris Olave was last seen headed to the medical tent during Sunday’s match between the Saints and the Bucs.

The injury apparently occurred on the the play during which Olave fumbled the ball. Antoine Winfield scooped and scored for a defensive touchdown on the same play.

Olave’s absence would pave the way for Rasheed Shahid, Juwan Johnson, and Alvin Kamara to see increased usage.
