Following an action-packed 13-game Saturday slate, we have just a four-game slate tonight. Seven of the eight teams on tonight’s slate played last night. The Jets are the only team that did not and find themselves as heavy favorites on the Moneyline (-166) against the Wild. With that being said, there are some lopsided matchups on tap but we’ve started the season off strong thus far โโ let’s keep it going. Here are my favorite bets on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Minnesota Wild at Winnipeg Jets
WPG Jets 3-Way Moneyline (-110)
The Jets last played on Friday and the Wild just lost, 4-5, in a shootout last night against the Kraken. The rest factor is obviously pertinent in this matchup but the Jets’ -166 odds on the Moneyline are a bit too juicy for my liking, so let’s pivot to them winning in regulation.
First, Winnipeg has won its last five matchups against Minnesota โโ all within regulation. Winnipeg should also give Connor Hellebuyck his third start of the season, which bodes well because he’s won his last three matchups against Minnesota averaging a blistering .948 save percentage. This matchup could prove to be elite for the Jets, too. Last season, the Jets ranked eighth in goals above expected (8.33) and 13th in expected goal percentage (51.36%). The Wild, however, ranked sixth in goals against above expected (15.08) and likely won’t get much help from their goaltending, whether it’s Marc-Andre Fleury or Filip Gustavsson.
Minnesota has struggled against the Blackhawks and Kraken to start the season and will be without a key piece in Joel Eriksson-Ek. It’s not going to get much easier against a strong-looking Winnipeg squad that is in its second game of a four-game homestand.
Seattle Kraken at Dallas Stars
DAL Stars Puck Line -1.5 (+120)
Both squads will be operating on zero rest. The Stars just handled the Islanders rather easily, winning 3-0, while the Kraken won 5-4 in a shootout against the Wild. However, the Stars are in the second game of a three-game homestand and didn’t have to travel from Minnesota to Dallas overnight like the Kraken did. Overall, Dallas is the much better squad, too, which is why I’m trusting in a win by at least two goals here.
As for the history between these two teams, Dallas has topped Seattle in seven of the last nine meetings, winning four of those seven games by two or more goals. Just last season, the Stars came out on top in all three matchups, outscoring Seattle, 10-4. The defensive presence will be there as both teams allowed 2.83 goals per game last season and ranked fourth (SEA) and sixth (DAL) in expected goals against. But, the difference here is that Dallas can score goals, and Seattle cannot. The Stars ranked third in goals per game (3.59) and fourth in expected goal percentage (54.24%). The Kraken, though? They ranked 29th (2.61) and 15th (50.97%) in those categories, respectively.
The bottom line is the Kraken struggled against the Stars last season, had to make an overnight trip from Minnesota to Dallas and just battled out four full periods in a shootout win. The team is likely going to be tired and already struggled on the road last season with a 17-17-7 record.
