NFL Week 6 Start or Sit: Darius Slayton

NFL Week 6 Start or Sit: Darius Slayton

On Sunday Night Football, the New York Giants will host the Cincinnati Bengals, but they won’t have rookie sensation Malik Nabers, which opens a great window of opportunity for Darius Slayton ($6,600 in single-game Showdown). If you grabbed Slayton off waiver wires or are building a DFS lineup, the receiver should be in a smash spot again Sunday night.

Here’s what he did last week without Nabers:

Before Nabers’ injury, Slayton had already been working as the team’s second receiver on the outside, playing over 70% of snaps and getting about four targets a game. With Nabers out in Week 5, he played 90% of snaps and caught 8-of-11 targets for 122 yards and a touchdown. He was working Nabers’ route tree and definitely has the confidence of Daniel Jones ($9,000).

The Giants use Wan’Dale Robinson ($8,200) out of the slot primarily. While he had a score and a few more targets with Nabers out, it was Slayton that did most of the damage.

Without Nabers, Slayton is a strong WR3 with WR2 upside against the Bengals, who have allowed five wide receiver touchdowns in the last four weeks while giving up an average of 172.5 receiving yards to the position.

Since they’re in primetime, the Giants aren’t on the main DFS slate this week, but they are in a single-game Showdown slate, highlighted by the NFL Showdown $1.2M Sunday Night Showdown [$300K to 1st] (CIN @ NYG). Slayton is a great option as a value Captain’s Pick or in a utility spot for that slate.

Slayton is +140 to score a touchdown, while Robinson checks in at +145.
