Ja’Marr Chase ($17,100)
After a less-than-stellar start to his campaign, Ja’Marr Chase has found his form and is firmly in the conversation with former LSU teammate Justin Jefferson for being the best wideout in the sport. Chase is amid a dominant stretch, amassing at least 80+ yards and a touchdown for three consecutive weeks. His recent performance was stunning, racking up 193 yards and a pair of scores in a total receiving clinic.
His ability after the catch has elevated his stock. Chase has burners but is also slippery with a head of steam. He can accelerate after making sharp cuts, which gives defensive backs nightmares. Whether it’s stretching the field vertically or running quick hitters underneath, he stretches out the defense and hits them at every level. There’s no stopping the 24-year-old, only hoping to contain him.
New York has an underrated unit led by its front seven. On the back end, it’s vulnerable, particularly over the top. Chase gets open at least once a game for a massive gain, which gives him immediate captain priority.
Joe Burrow ($15,000)
Cincinnati’s 1-4 start has overshadowed Joe Burrow’s bounceback season. Outside of a flukey opener against New England, the superstar signal-caller has been delivering an elite ball. His unprecedented offseason wrist injury is a fleeting memory. Burrow leads the league in completion percentage and passer rating and has shown a willingness to push the rock and drive passes into tight windows.
His blonde tips might make him look like the sixth member of NYSNC, but he’s putting together MVP numbers. Burrow can’t control his defense’s shocking regression or an unforgiving schedule that has exasperated their issues.
The Bengals are weak in the backfield, which has elevated the former number-one overall picks’ volume. This squad will continue to air it out, which means even as a pure pocket passer, Burrow is a top DFS quarterback option.
Wan’Dale Robinson ($12,300)
From the value piece to the captain penthouse, Wan’Dale Robinson is skyrocketing into fantasy relevance. A route-running maestro, the former Cornhusker is unguardable in the slot. He’s smooth in his craft, gaining separation in a flash with quick and technical footwork. After the catch, he uses his small stature and agility to do damage in space.
What’s limited Robinson’s ascension is his shaky rapport with Daniel Jones ($13,500). The two look discombobulated at times, whether it’s poor timing or not on the same page. With Robinson having a more prominent role in the offense, that chemistry should rapidly develop.
A date with a woeful secondary and the absence of Malik Nabers is a perfect recipe for Robinson to be a viable crown candidate.
