Can Dalton Schultz score a touchdown in Week 6 vs. New England Patriots?

Nico Collins was placed on the Injured Reserve earlier this week, meaning he’ll be out for an extended period of time. Who can we turn to in this Texans offense now? Many will turn to Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs but I think this is also a great spot for TE Dalton Schultz.

After Collins exited the game in Week 5, Schultz saw all SIX of his targets in the second-half. He became an immediate target for C.J. Stroud and someone he trusts. It’s continued a trend in this offense when a receiver is out of the mix, Schultz has been one of the main beneficiaries. In Week 4, when Dell was out, Schultz ended with five targets.

This week, Schultz will face a Patriots defense that has allowed the seventh-most receiving yards to opposing tight ends. Stats for teams against opposing tight ends can always be a bit fickle, as teams usage of the tight end position can be vastly different. But, the Patriots are looking as if they’ll be down two safeties in this game, making it all the more appealing. While they could have Kyle Dugger back, they also could be down to just Jaylinn Hawkins and Marte Mape. Hawkins has been targeted against six times and allowed four catches for 54 yards. Mapu has only played once but allowed six catches on six targets for 51 yards.
