The Seahawks were unable to penetrate the Giants’ defense consistently on Sunday, scoring their first and only offensive touchdown deep in the fourth quarter, before a game-tying field goal attempt was blocked and returned for a 60-yard score that saw them fall 29-20 at home. Meanwhile, the 49ers suffered a similarly disappointing 24-23 home loss to the Cardinals. San Francisco was shut out in the second half, seeing its 23-10 lead erased. That loss also saw Brock Purdy throw multiple interceptions for just the fourth time in his career. These teams met twice last season, seeing San Francisco win 31-13 at Lumen Field in Week 12 and 28-16 at Levi’s Stadium in Week 14. The 49ers have won five straight against Seattle.
