Just like everyone expected, Seattle sits atop the NFC West while the 49ers enter Week 6 with a 2-3 record. No, wait. That can’t be right. (But it is.)
The Seahawks started their season strong, but they’ve lost back-to-back games after opening 3-0. The 49ers haven’t been any better, though, with their only wins coming against AFC East opponents.
As the game draws near, predictions for 49ers vs. Seahawks have been made. This preview will highlight how DraftKings Sportsbook bettors are approaching this NFC West matchup.
Game splits
Moneyline
The 49ers are the popular play here. Sixty-eight percent of the moneyline bets have gone toward San Francisco (-185). But, those bets have only accounted for 66% of the moneyline handle.
Spread
While there’s a slight sharp lean toward Seattle on the moneyline, the 49ers have the sharp lean against the spread.
Oddly enough, the Niners have also seen 66% of the handle in this section of DraftKings Sportsbook. However, this percentage is built on 61% of the spread bets.
As for the line movement, this play has fluctuated between 3.5 and 3-even. With both sharps and the public backing the 49ers here, it’s hard to imagine the spread gets down to 2.5 at this stage.
Total
This opened at 47 and has steadily worked its way to 49. To this point, the peak has been 49.5.
The handle is actually a 50-50 split for this game. However, there’s a slight edge to the under here. That’s because 48% of the game total bets have been cast toward the under. So while fewer bets have been made in favor of the under, those plays have accounted for the same percentage of handle as the more popular play (the over).
Popular props
Each touchdown-based player prop has a different player leading the charge in terms of greatest percentage of handle:
- First TD Scorer: DK Metcalf +1100
- Anytime TD Scorer: Jordan Mason -200
- 2+ TD Scorer: Deebo Samuel +800
- Player Not to Score a Touchdown: George Kittle -200
Not only does Metcalf have the greatest percentage of handle in the First TD Scorer department, it also seems as though he’s the sharp play. On just 10% of the First TD Scorer bets, Metcalf bettors have accounted for 19% of the handle.
As for the non-touchdown-related props, Mason has the play that’s seen the most handle. “Jordan Mason Rushing Yards 80+” is the most popular play among this group, and it carries -135 odds.
