It’s important to look at WR/CB matchups when setting your fantasy football lineups. At times, we have some matchups that we can exploit and receive the best fantasy output in return. I’ll do my best to point out some of the best matchups to target when making your fantasy or DraftKings lineup.

A.J. Brown (PHI) vs. Martin Emerson Jr. (CLE)
All signs are pointing to Brown (and DeVonta Smith) returning this week for the Eagles. Brown will have a great matchup in coverage against Browns corner Martin Emerson Jr to help get him back on track. On the year, Emerson Jr has been targeted against 25 times, allowing 16 catches for 193 yards and three touchdowns.
While it’s still early in the season, the high catch rate is rather unusual for the Browns corner. Through his first two years in the league, he hasn’t allowed more than a 53% catch rate on 162 targets. With Brown immediately stepping back into a prominent role in this offense, the matchup looks good for him to rack up some fantasy points.

Ja’Marr Chase (CIN) vs. Deonte Banks (NYG)
In coverage, Banks has been scored on four times season, which is tied for the league lead along with Rams corner Tre’Davious White. With having to cover Chase this week, this number could easily move him of sole possession of the league leader. While he’s only allowed a 58% catch rate on 31 targets, the 276 yards allowed lands him in the Top 10 in the league.
This kind of matchup has me salivating at the prospect of playing Chase, who has continued to dominate downfield. Chase has seen five targets of 20+ yards and has made four catches for 141 yards and three of his touchdowns. I’ll be taking the over on Chase’s receiving props this week and sprinkling a little on his longest reception of 25.5 yards. This is one of my favorite WR/CB matchups to target.

Garrett Wilson (NYJ) vs. Cam Lewis (BUF)
Teams have been picking on S Cam Lewis and I don’t envision that stopping this week. Lewis was targeted against 12 (!) times last week by C.J. Stroud and allowed 10 (!) catches for 96 yards. Lewis has now allowed the second-most catches in the league amongst any position in coverage. He also has allowed more yards after the catch (182) than any other player.
Now we have Wilson, who leads all receivers with 55 targets, facing him in Week 6. While the volume has been great for Wilson, he has turned that into 33 catches and 292 yards. It feels like it should and could be a lot more. Maybe this is exactly the type of matchup he needs here in Week 6. With changes coming to the Jets (maybe a new receiver currently on the Raiders?), I think this is still a big week for Wilson and a matchup I want to target when it comes to a favorable WR/CB matchup.
