Is Jalen Tolbert the top WR add on waivers for Week 6?

With Brandin Cooks (knee) inactive for the first time this season in Week 5, Jalen Tolbert ($5,000) stole the show for the Cowboys in their dramatic road win over the Steelers. The receiver caught seven of his career-high 10 targets for 87 yards and a touchdown, which was the go-ahead and game-winning score for Dallas on fourth down with 26 seconds remaining in the game.

The clutch touchdown by Tolbert was one of the most memorable moments of the NFL season so far and the receiver’s workload was very encouraging in Cooks’ absence. Tolbert ran a route on a season-high 89% of his team’s dropbacks and he led the Cowboys with a 24.4% target share, including three red-zone targets.

With Cooks placed on IR last week, he will miss at least three more games, so Tolbert should continue to see heavy usage and thrive for this pass-heavy Dallas offense that is throwing the ball at the fifth-highest rate in the league.

This season, Tolbert is tied for the most on the team in red-zone targets (seven) and targets over 20 yards (five). The third-year wideout is generating a team-high 2.83 FPTS per touch and is the top receiver waiver wire add for Week 6.
