Ashton Jeanty is the new favorite to win the Heisman with Travis Hunter not far behind. Here is a look at his updated Heisman odds at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Entering Week 7 of the college football season, Alabama QB Jalen Milroe was the favorite to win the Heisman after his incredible performance against Georgia. Milroe’s odds were at +250 with Miami QB Cam Ward at +500 behind him. Milroe suffered a devastating loss to Vanderbilt and Ward needed a monumental comeback to win for the second straight week. Ward’s odds remained stagnant while Milroe’s odds plummeted after Alabama’s terrible loss.
Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty and Colorado’s Travis Hunter moved to the top of the odds board. Ashton Jeanty is now +225 to win the Heisman and Travis Hunter is +380 at DraftKings Sportsbook. Just two weeks ago, Travis Hunter was 18/1 to win the Heisman and Jeanty was 20/1. Those two players have rocketed up the odds board over the past two weeks after two huge performances from Jeanty and one monster game from Hunter (Colorado was on their bye last week). They have also been helped by some top quarterbacks like Jalen Milroe, Carson Beck, and Jaxson Dart suffering bad losses over the past two weeks.
Jeanty would be the first Group of Five player since 1963 to win the Heisman while Travis Hunter would be the first two-way player to win the award since 1997. Either one of them winning the award would be a historic prospect. However, it could be tough for both of them to hold off a quarterback from a big program like Cam Ward or Jalen Milroe if they put up massive numbers and lead their team to a top seed in the College Football Playoff.
