Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are tied with -110 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook to win the presidential election on November 5, mirroring the tight nature of the polls.
According to Real Clear Politics, Harris currently leads Trump by 2.2 points in the national average, 49.1 to 46.9. While it’s a slight lead, it shows she’s holding steady as the race heats up. This slim margin could shift quickly in the closing days of the campaign. It’ll be interesting to see how things unfold as the candidates continue to push their messages across the country.
Trump defeated former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2016 with a total of 304 votes in the Electoral College, although he did lose the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes. Trump would go on to lose to President Joe Biden in 2020, with Biden earning 306 votes in the Electoral College compared to Trump’s 232. Biden also won the popular vote, with over 81 million votes compared to Trump’s over 74 million votes. Republicans have not won the popular vote since George W. Bush’s re-election campaign in 2004.
