The Giants are headed west in Week 5, facing the Seahawks at 4:25 p.m. ET. They’ll be without rookie phenom Malik Nabers, who was forced to leave last Thursday’s loss to the Cowboys with a concussion. Without Nabers, Giants WR Wan’Dale Robinson ($5,600) is in a great place to step up and be a strong value play.
Nabers’ injury happened in the fourth quarter of the game against the Cowboys after soaking up 15 targets. He finished with 12 catches for 115 yards and 26.1 fantasy points. Nabers has been a target magnet all season, averaging 15 targets per game over the last three weeks. He has helped the Giants stay right in all three of those games, defeating the Browns in Week 3, losing to the Commanders by three, and losing to the Cowboys by only five points on Thursday.
Without Nabers in the mix on Sunday, Robinson will likely help soak up some of those targets, and Wan’Dale already has had a hefty workload coming his way. Robinson had 11 catches on 14 targets against Dallas and finished with 71 yards and 18.1 fantasy points. He has over 11 fantasy points in three of his four games this season and has averaged 13.2 fantasy points per contest.
Darius Slayton ($3,900) is also be lined up for more potential work with Nabers out, while big-play threat Jalin Hyatt ($3,100) could also be in line to get his first catch of the season.
Even in a tough matchup, Robinson is a solid flex play, or even a fringe WR2, given the byes this week. Slayton enters the mix as a “Hail Mary” option.
The Giants are six-point underdogs in Seattle, and Robinson’s odds have dropped to +180 to score a touchdown after being up at +300 earlier in the week.
In addition, the Giants could be short-handed in the backfield because Devin Singletary ($6,300) also missed practice Wednesday with a groin injury. Singletary was able to return to practice on Friday, though, and is making progress, according to coach Brian Daboll. Tyrone Tracy Jr. ($4,300) would likely take over as the top option in the backfield, which could force the Giants to throw the ball even more against the Seahawks.
