It’s important to look at WR/CB matchups when setting your fantasy football lineups. At times, we have some matchups that we can exploit and receive the best fantasy output in return. I’ll do my best to point out some of the best matchups to target when making your fantasy or DraftKings lineup.

CeeDee Lamb (DAL) vs. Beanie Bishop Jr. (PIT)
It’s been a tough start for Bishop Jr in his rookie year as the Steelers slot corner. He’s been targeted against 15 times, allowing 10 catches for 111 yards and two touchdown. Now, he’ll have his most difficult matchup to date against Lamb. While he does line up all over the field, he’s currently lining up in the slot on 51% of his snaps.
We’ve already gotten word that the Cowboys will be down Brandin Cooks, so the targets going toward Lamb could be more than usual. As you’d expect, Lamb has dominated the targets already, seeing Amongst the wide receivers, this is 12 more than Cooks, who is second on the team. Lamb and Jake Ferguson have been the target leaders at their respective positions. Against the rookie corner, this could be a big week for Lamb.

Jayden Reed (GB) vs. Quentin Lake (LAR)
It’s the second week in a row that Reed appears in the WR/CB article. Last week, I wrote up his matchup against Vikings CB Byron Murphy Jr. Reed was only targeted twice against Murphy but caught both of them for 27 yards. Overall, he had another huge game, making seven catches for 139 yards and a touchdown. He’ll be looking to do more of the same in Week 5 against the Rams. In two games with Jordan Love under center this season, Reed has been targeted 14 times and has 11 catches for 277 yards and two touchdowns. With Malik Willis, he has eight targets, six catches for 59 yards.
Lake has been targeted against 15 times, allowing 10 catches for 167 yards. This has been a common theme for him through his three years playing, allowing a high catch rate. Currently, he’s allowed a career 70% catch rate on 71 targets. This is great for Reed, who has quickly become the most reliable target for Love. The Rams pass rush has also nearly nonexistent thus far, which will give Love plenty of time to throw. When he’s working with a clean pocket, Love is averaging just under eight yards per attempt with an adjusted completion rate of 72%.

Tutu Atwell (LAR) vs. Keisean Nixon (GB)
Sticking with his game, Atwell has become a pivotal part of the Rams offense. Desperate for pass catches, Atwell has seen 14 targets over the last three games and turned that into 11 catches and 224 yards. The most attractive part about Atwell is his ability to stretch the field. He’s had a catch of at least 21 yards in all three games, giving him an aDOT of 15.2. So even with limited opportunities, Atwell has been able to collect some solid fantasy production.
This matchup sets up quite nicely for Atwell. Nixon is someone who gave up a lot of yards after the catch last season with 333. That ranked the ninth highest in the league amongst all corners. Nixon has already seen 20 targets against him and allowed 13 catches for 124 yards, but only 30 after the catch. That said, he has been scored on twice, including last week against the Vikings. With Matt Stafford’s willingly throwing deep down field, Atwell could have another game surpassing his receiving yard total.
