Coming off back-to-back performances without a catch, its officially time to panic about Mark Andrews. The veteran was one of the first tight ends off the board for season long drafts this summer, but Andrews has been one of the biggest fantasy disappointments this season, producing a pathetic 3.1 FPTS per game. With this average, the former Pro Bowler ranks 30th of the 32 tight ends that have played at least 50% of their team’s snaps this season.

The extreme drop off for Andrews is a product of his lack of usage for this Ravens’ offense that is throwing the ball at the third-lowest rate in the league. The tight end has seen a underwhelming 8.7% target share and Andrews has only run a route on 64% of his team’s drop backs. Last season, he garnered a 21.2% target share and ran a route on 78% of drop backs in the 10 games he was active for.

What’s even more concerning is that Isaiah Likely appears to be ahead of Andrews as the Ravens’ top pass catching tight end, with the former fourth-round pick running more routes than Andrews in two straight games.

Andrews has only seen one target in each of the Ravens’ past two games and, while HC John Harbaugh told the media following Sunday’s win over the Bills that “Andrews is going to definitely have big games here catching the ball,” the way he is using the veteran clearly suggests otherwise.

At this point, Andrews’ owners need to find a different option to start at tight end, as he has become unplayable in all formats. The best case scenario is finding a league member that is willing to trade something minor for Andrews, simply based on his name value. However, with that unlikely at this point, dropping Andrews is a totally viable move if you can swallow your pride.
