Week 5 TE Rankings, Start, Sit — 2024 NFL Fantasy Football Rankings

Tight end continues to be a riddle every week this year with some big names playing poorly and some unheralded options stepping up. In Week 5, Tucker Kraft actually led the position edging out Pat Freiermuth just ahead of bigger names Travis Kelce and George Kittle. Kelce jumps to the top spot this week after the Chiefs’ lost a very important target in Rashee Rice (knee).

Sam LaPorta has yet to play in Week 4, since he’s in the Monday night game against the Seahawks. The second-year TE is on his bye week in Week 5, so he isn’t on this list for Week 5.

On the downside, though, Trey McBride missed the week with a concussion, Brock Bowers had an extremely quiet week and Mark Andrews didn’t have a single catch.

As we try to solve the puzzle that has been the tight end spot this season, here are my top 10 plays for Week 5:

  1. Travis Kelce (vs. NO)
  2. George Kittle (vs. ARI)
  3. Trey McBride (at SF) assuming he’s healthy
  4. Brock Bowers (at DEN)
  5. Jake Ferguson (at PIT)
  6. Dalton Kincaid (at HOU)
  7. Kyle Pitts (vs. TB)
  8. Pat Freiermuth (vs. DAL)
  9. Colby Parkinson (vs. GB)
  10. Cole Kmet (vs. LAR)

These rankings are based on news and information available as of Monday afternoon. Stay tuned to DraftKings Network throughout the week for ongoing coverage as matchups and situations develop.
