Although the Buffalo Bills lost 35-10 on Sunday Night Football to the Baltimore Ravens, the Bills are still 3-1 and in first place in the AFC East. Former first-round pick and TE Dalton Kincaid was poised for a breakout season in 2024 but he has gotten off to a slow start during the first month of the season.
Kincaid has 13 catches for 132 yards and one touchdown this season while being the Bills’ No. 2 target. Khalil Shakir has been Josh Allen’s most consistent and productive receiver this season through four weeks. Allen has completed a pass to 10 different players and is spreading the ball around more.
Kincaid had five catches for 47 yards on seven targets against the Ravens in Week 4. Although his production is down, his targets have increased each week of the season. Before the season, Kincaid was being drafted No. 51 overall, according to Fantasy Pros. When drafting a TE in the first five rounds, you are expecting an elite player and Kincaid hasn’t been that this season.
In Week 3, Kincaid scored 13 fantasy points and nine points last night. Kincaid is currently TE8 in PPR leagues while scoring 32 points through four weeks. The Bills have utilized the running game more often than in the past and if Allen doesn’t make it a priority to make Kincaid his No. 1 option, his production will plateau. Even though Kincaid is not a top-five TE in the NFL right now, there are still 13 games left in the season for him to make an impact.
