On the touchdown markets on DraftKings, you can typically select a player for an Anytime Touchdown, First Touchdown or 2+ Touchdowns. In this particular parlay, this bettor opted to dive into the first touchdown market, and here’s how they built their winning parlay:
It only took a simple three-leg parlay for the bettor to claim their “Crowning Moment” in Week 4. They selected Vikings WR Jordan Addison, Broncos WR Courtland Sutton and Bengals RB Chase Brown to each score the first touchdown in their respective games.
The first of the three picks to find paydirt was Addison, who scored on the Vikings’ opening drive on the first possession of the game. Addison was returning from a two-game absence and wasted no time scoring his first touchdown of the season. He later tacked on a rushing touchdown as well in his extremely successful return.
The second correct pick of this parlay didn’t come on the first possession of the game between the Bengals and Panthers. In fact, the Panthers got the ball first and marched 69 yards down the field. They had 1st & Goal at the two-yard line but could not get the first touchdown of the day. RB Chuba Hubbard had three carries from inside the two but was stopped each time, including a huge fourth-down stop by Kris Jenkins.
The Bengals punted their first possession after that stop but then picked off former Bengal Andy Dalton. On their second possession, the Bengals started in much better field position at the Panthers’ 16-yard line. After a 12-yard catch by Tee Higgins to get the ball inside the five, Zack Moss got the first crack at the end zone but was stopped at the three. Moss was replaced by Brown who was the target of an incomplete pass on second down. The Bengals went back to Brown on third down, though, and he scored this touchdown.
Brown had already added a second touchdown to his breakout day by the time this bettor’s “Crowning Moment” arrived. The last leg it needed to win over $40,000 was a touchdown from Courtland Sutton.
Conditions were miserable in New York, though, and both teams struggled on offense all day long. It took until the end of the third quarter for either team to find the end zone and for the Broncos to finally get on the board.
When Sutton hauled in that touchdown catch for the first and only touchdown of the game, this three-leg parlay went green across the board and won $42,120.00 for this bettor who played just a $10 parlay bet.
