Just as both teams went to halftime in their Week 4 matchup, the San Francisco 49ers announced that George Kittle is officially questionable to return for the second half against the New England Patriots with a rib injury.
Before leaving the game, Kittle had three receptions on three targets for 38 yards and one absolutely Megatron-esque touchdown catch in triple coverage. Kittle came down hard on that play, though there’s no word yet about when specifically Kittle might have experienced the injury acutely.
The 49ers also listed Fred Warner as questionable for the second half of the game with an ankle injury. Warner had a spectacular pick-six on Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett in the first half.
We’ll provide further updates on the injury here as we gather more information.
