We’re already three weeks into the new NFL season, so we’re starting to get a solid set of data to base fantasy football decisions off for the coming games. While injuries and matchups make every week unique, fantasy football rankings for all the positions are starting to settle into a nice groove. Players will continue to rise and fall throughout the season based on their performance and who they’ll face each week.
As we get ready for Week 4 to kickoff, with a matchup between the Cowboys and Giants on Thursday Night Football, let’s take a look at some of the biggest risers and fallers in my Week 4 fantasy football rankings.
QB Risers and Fallers
My rankings came out on Monday, if they didn’t, Jayden Daniels would probably be a few spots higher. The rookie impressed with a massive fantasy performance on Monday Night Football and is emerging as a top 10 play every week. He’s in a good matchup against the Cardinals, even though he will be going on the road on a short week.
Two QBs who have carried their teams to 3-0 starts break into the top 10 this week. Sam Darnold is my No. 9 ranked QB as he leads the Vikings into Green Bay, and Justin Fields rounds out my top 10 with his favorable road matchup in Indy. Fields’ rushing potential gives him a good ceiling in any matchup.
On the other side of that matchup, Anthony Richardson has dropped out of the top 10 after back-to-back tough weeks, while Jared Goff also ranks just outside the top 10 as his Lions host the undefeated Seahawks, who have looked solid defensively in their 3-0 start.

RB Risers and Fallers
At running back, Alvin Kamara continued to climb in my rankings, and he gets a very favorable matchup against the Falcons this week. Jordan Mason also remains near the top while filling in for Christian McCaffrey (Achilles). De’Von Achane’s ranking also improved quite a bit, as he has a favorable home matchup against the Titans on Monday Night Football and should get a huge workload while the team continues to function without Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) at QB.
Josh Jacobs dropped from No. 4 to No. 14 with Jordan Love potentially returning and with a tough matchup vs. the Vikings, but on the other side of that game, Aaron Jones got a bump into the top 10 in a possible revenge game in Green Bay.
Chuba Hubbard was the other big riser this week. He’s getting plenty of work for the Panthers, but with Bryce Young at QB, that didn’t mean much. With Andy Dalton opening up the offense, Hubbard jumped into my top 20.

WR Risers and Fallers
By nature of the position, wide receivers are very reliant on QB play. The aforementioned Dalton totally changed the outlook of the Panthers at receiver, and I’ve ranked Diontae Johnson inside my top 20 with Adam Thielen (hamstring) on IR. On the other side of that, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle struggled with Skylar Thompson, so they sink even further this week.
Rashee Rice jumps up seven spots into my top five this week as he continues to assert himself as the Chiefs’ top receiver. Chris Olave also climbs 12 spots into the top 10.
The Commanders and Rams have been the best WR matchups, so rookies Marvin Harrison Jr. and Rome Odunze should be set up for big games this week.

TE Risers and Fallers
Tight end is an injury-riddled position this week with many of the top options battling different ailments. One player benefiting from his team’s injuries is Dallas Goedert, as he was called upon for a much bigger role in Week 3 after DeVonta Smith (concussion) joined A.J. Brown (hamstring) on the sideline. If both are ruled out, you could make a strong case for Goedert at the No. 1 spot in the TE rankings, since so many other options have been limited.
Jake Ferguson returned from his injury in Week 3 and Dalton Kincaid found the end zone, leaving both as solid top 10 TE plays this week.
Falling out of my rankings were Hunter Henry and Zach Ertz, who remain solid plays, but don’t have the consistency to quite crack the top 10 this week.
