NFL Pick ‘Em Pools
These pools are really easy to use and allow you to have action for the entire NFL season with just one entry fee. For season-long pools, you will go back to the pool every week and pick five games against the spread. Each correct selection is worth one point and each incorrect selection is worth zero points. For single-week pools, the same rules apply.
Every week of the regular season I will be giving out my five favorite selections, along with my leans for every other game on the slate.
Week 3 Picks
Picks Record: 8-7
Cowboys -4.5 vs. Giants – The Cowboys have lost back-to-back games and this is the perfect get-right spot for them. They have won 13 of their last 14 games against the Giants and Dak Prescott has been great at covering as a favorite against NFC East opponents. The Cowboys’ biggest vulnerability is their rush defense and the Giants don’t have the rushing attack to exploit that. The Cowboys should win this game comfortably.
Packers -2.5 vs. Vikings – The Packers are hoping to get Jordan Love back on Sunday for this big divisional matchup against the red-hot Vikings. Brian Flores has out-schemed every offensive coach the Vikings have faced so far, but Matt LaFleur is much more familiar with his concepts and is more capable of combatting them with good offensive schemes. The Packers also have the advantage of Flores having to prepare for Malik Willis and Jordan Love, who would run very different offenses.
Falcons -1.5 vs. Saints – The Falcons had multiple chances to beat the Chiefs last week but fell just short. Meanwhile, the Saints could have lost by a lot more to the Eagles if they had been better coached or executed better on fourth downs. The Saints’ defense was moved on handily and the offense couldn’t get anything going. Contrary to public opinion, I think the Falcons are the better team and they should take care of business at home.
Ravens -2.5 vs. Bills – The Ravens picked up a huge win over the Cowboys last week to move to 1-2. Meanwhile, the Bills dominated the Jaguars to move to 3-0 and they look really good so far this season. That being said, the Ravens easily have the best defense the Bills have faced so far. The Buffalo offense has been pretty conservative, just running the ball and utilizing the short pass game, but the Ravens will make things hard on them. Lamar Jackson could also exploit the Buffalo defense in a way that no quarterback they’ve faced so far has been able to.
Titans +0.5 vs. Dolphins – The Titans are one of the only 0-3 teams in the NFL but they have been really close in two of their losses. The Dolphins’ offense is in total disarray. They were struggling before Tua Tagovailoa’s injury, but things look really terrible with Skylar Thompson and Tim Boyle. The Titans have a good defense and if Will Levis can play smart, they should be able to pick up a win against Miami.
