For the second day in a row, I will be giving my favorite bet for a La Liga game, and this time it’s Antoine Griezmann’s Atletico Madrid looking to get a win on the road against Celta Vigo. This game is crucial for Atletico if they want to stay close to Barcelona and Real Madrid at the top of the Spanish table. Although they have played one game less than the top two, they are still nine points behind Barcelona and five behind Real Madrid. This team should have aspirations of getting into a title race with the two best teams in the country, but without a win on Thursday, that ambition would look very bleak, very early into the season.

Atletico Madrid Moneyline (-115)
My favorite bet for this game is simple as I like the road team to come away with the victory. They will be playing against a Celta Vigo team that has lost three of their first six matches and have lost each of their last five matchups against Atletico Madrid. The combined score of those last five matches between 2022- 2024? 11-1. It has been pure dominance from Atletico in this matchup recently, and with so much on the line, I expect them to come through victorious again. Another positive from Thursday’s match could be Julian Alvarez, as Atletico fans will be hoping for more from their new star signing as he has only scored once in his first six La Liga matches. Between Alvarez, Griezmann and Gallagher, Atletico should have too much offensive firepower for Celta Vigo.
