Brian Robinson Jr. is a must start in fantasy with Austin Ekeler ruled out

Austin Ekeler (concussion) has been ruled for Sunday’s matchup with the Cardinals, opening the door for Brian Robinson Jr. ($6,100) to see an expanded role.

Ekeler suffered the concussion early during this past Monday’s matchup vs. the Bengals and was only available for 22% of the snaps. Meanwhile, Robinson Jr. posted 10.7 FPTS. While this wasn’t a huge fantasy score, the usage was excellent for Robinson Jr., with him logging a season-high 76% of the snaps and 80% of the Commanders’ running back carries, including three red zone attempts. Plus, Robinson Jr. ran a route on 61% of his team’s drop backs, also setting a new season-high.

This season, the 25-year-old is averaging a career-best 4.6 yards carry and 0.39 FPTS per snap. Robinson Jr. should be in line for over 70% of the snaps again this Sunday and he has great upside going against a Cardinals’ defense that is sixth-worst graded unit on PFF.

This game’s O/U of 50.5 points on the DraftKings Sportsbook is the highest of Week 4 and Robinson Jr. is averaging 16.4 FPTS per game for his career when he logs over 50% of the snaps (13 games). The back is a must-start for all season-long formats and is an appealing DFS option, despite the fact that Robinson Jr. will likely be a popular play.
