Only six days remain in the MLB regular season! As teams gear up for the playoffs, there are still some MLB Picks to be made. I’ll give you some of my favorite bets for tonight’s slate on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Oakland Athletics vs. Texas Rangers
The Pick: Athletics team total over 3.5 runs -110

It’s the final home series in Oakland for the Athletics, who’ll be taking their talents to Sacramento for 2025-27. At least for tonight, I do like them offensively against the Rangers and Nathan Eovaldi. It’s been a dreadful second-half for the Rangers starter, who has a 5.46 ERA with a 4.51 FIP and a 1.8 HR/9 through 62.2 innings. Couple that with some bad road numbers, like a 4.48 ERA and a 4.29 FIP, and I like the A’s to go over 3.5 runs.

The A’s have been a very good fastball hitting club this season. Tonight’s expected lineup has a combined .354 wOBA wtih a .188 ISO and just a 22% K%. Eovaldi is throwing this pitch 36% of the time and opposing teams have a .394 wOBA against it. Since coming back from the All-Star Break, Eovaldi has allowed at least three runs in eight of his 11 starts. I’m not usually placing bets on the team total for the A’s, but I think tonight is the night they’ll go over.

St. Louis Cardinals at Colorado Rockies
The Pick: Lars Nootbaar over 2.5 H/R/RBI +120

The Cardinals will begin a series at Coors Field tonight. Ryan Feltner will be on the mound for the Rockies and this matchup sets up quite well for Nootbaar. Feltner has a .343 wOBA against lefties and only an 18% K%. He throws a ton of fastballs, doing so 46% of the time. This sets up well for Nootbaar, who checks all the boxes for me here.

Against that pitch, Nootbaar has a .359 wOBA with a .195 ISO. Those are the best individual numbers in the Cardinals lineup against the fastball. He also has great numbers against the changeup, which is the next pitch in line that Feltner throws. Nootbaar has a .434 wOBA and a .333 ISO against that pitch as well. With this game in Coors Field, I’m liking a big offensive day for the Cardinals outfielder.

This play is also part of a parlay I have up on DraftKings Sportsbook for tonight.

San Diego Padres at Los Angeles Dodgers
The Pick: Padres moneyline +102

The game is essentially a coin flip but I’m siding with the Padres. I think the Padres have the advantage with the pitching matchup between Michael King and Landon Knack. King has been nearly untouchable through the second-half of the season. He hasn’t allowed more than three runs in a start, giving him a 2.34 ERA with a .264 wOBA and a 2.59 FIP over that span. He’s faced the Dodgers three times already but all those games were lumped in during the beginning of the season. In those starts, he went a combined 15.1 innings with a 4.11 ERA and a 6.36 FIP. However, he’s been so good over the past few months, I’m very comfortable siding with him.
