Jalen Tolbert has been making a big impact for the Cowboys and is a player worth picking up off the waiver wire for Week 4. Over the last two weeks, the 25-year-old has produced nine catches for 124 yards and one touchdown. This has resulted in 13.7 FPTS per game for Tolbert and he has been a top-35 receiver fantasy-wise for each of these past two weeks, while Brandin Cooks has only scored 3.6 FPTS per game. From a usage perspective, Tolbert has led Dallas in routes during this span and he has seen a 15.6% target share – including two red-zone targets and three targets over 20 yards – while Cooks has only seen a very underwhelming 8.9% target share.
It appears Tolbert may have leapfrogged Cooks on the depth chart, and Tolbert should continue to produce solid numbers if this large role continues for him in this pass-heavy Dallas offense. The Cowboys rank third in pass rate this season and Tolbert impressively ranks 14th in aDOT among all receivers. The former third-round pick should be rostered in most season-long formats and has strong upside this Thursday vs. the Giants, with the Cowboys a -108 favorite to score over 25.5 points on the DraftKings Sportsbook.
