Sitting at a price of +250 for Offensive Rookie of the Year on the DraftKings Sportsbook, Nabers is the best target for the award. The LSU product has been sensational so far, with 23 catches for 271 yards and three touchdowns through the first three weeks of the season, all of which rank top-five among skill players. What might be most impressive about these numbers is that Nabers hasn’t had the easiest schedule thus far, facing the Vikings in Week 1 and then the Browns in Week 3, both of which are top-10 defenses in terms of PFF grade this season.
With the Giants lacking weapons outside of Nabers, the rookie has seen incredible usage. That isn’t going anywhere considering his play thus far this season. When excluding Keenan Allen (heel), who has only played one game this season, Nabers leads the NFL in target share at a colossal 37.8%, while ranking ninth in routes run. Additionally, the wideout ranks fourth in redzone targets (5) and he leads the league in both targets over 20 yards (8) and air yards (385). This elite combination of strong usage in both scoring territory and as a deep threat is going to lead to many more touchdowns for Nabers, and he has a legitimate chance to lead the NFL in scores this season.
While Daniel Jones’ inconsistency is a concern, the veteran has benefited greatly with Nabers as his main weapon and the pairing’s chemistry has improved each week. Jones should pepper Nabers with double-digit targets every game and the receiver has the potential to run away with this Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
