With only a few large-slate nights of the MLB regular season left, be sure to get your entries in for Tuesday’s jam-packed 10-game slate. During this final week of the season, a huge emphasis is placed on divisional contests — seven of the 10 contests on tap for tonight fall into that category.
Divisional matchups between the Yankees-Orioles, Mets-Braves and Mariners-Astros carry extra playoff significance as teams look to lock in their spots for the postseason. One non-divisional game that is especially worth noting is the matchup between the Cardinals and Rockies since that game is scheduled for the rarified air of Coors Field.

SP Jack Kochanowicz, Los Angeles Angels at Chicago White Sox, $6,000
The White Sox have been a great matchup to target all season long on their way to a historically awful season. They have scored 100 fewer runs than any other team in baseball this season and are hitting an MLB-worst .220 alongside a wOBA of just .272. The White Sox have shown the ability to make even fringe MLB starting pitchers look masterful, turning “meh” plays into key values to build around on some slates.
On Tuesday, the White Sox have the potential to do that again as they face the young Angels righty, Jack Kochanowicz. In his nine MLB starts this season, Kochanowicz is 2-5 with a 4.56 ERA and 5.09 FIP, with only a 3.5 K/9. He did show more punchout potential in the minors, but the leap from Double-A to the majors has cost him a lot of that strikeout upside.
He has had a few good outings recently, including his most recent start, which was last Wednesday against these same White Sox. Kochanowicz allowed just one run on five hits in seven innings that game, ending up with a no-decision but still earning 20.8 fantasy points. He has over 20 fantasy points in two of his last four starts and has gone at least 5 2/3 innings in seven consecutive outings. In this favorable matchup, he has a solid floor and a high ceiling even though he doesn’t typically pile up a ton of strikeouts.
2B/3B Romy Gonzalez, Boston Red Sox at Toronto Blue Jays, $3,300
With Rafael Devers (shoulder) done for the season, Gonzalez will likely be able to find his way into the Red Sox lineup on a regular basis over the next week. He started at 3B and hit second in the batting order in each of the two games from Sunday’s doubleheader against the Twins. He went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and 15 fantasy points in the day game. Gonzalez followed that up with a home run and 20 more fantasy points in the nightcap.
Gonazlez is hitting .275 (11-for-40) in September with two home runs, four stolen bases and a 50% hard-hit rate. He can contribute meaningful production with speed or power, making him a nice value fit at either 2B or 3B if he returns to the second spot in the order on Tuesday.
OF Gustavo Campero, Los Angeles Angels at Chicago White Sox, $2,200
The Halos have been able to go very young all over the diamond for the past month with multiple veterans dealing with injuries. Both Kochanowicz and Campero spent most of the season with the Rocket City Trash Pandas but have made meaningful fantasy contributions in September.
Campero hit .279 with 14 homers, a .402 wOBA and 33 stolen bases in 40 attempts throughout 107 games between Double-A and Triple-A. Since reaching the MLB level, Campero has gone 8-for-26 (.308) with one triple and a pair of stolen bases in his seven starts. He has averaged 7.3 fantasy points per start and produced at least eight fantasy points in four of his last six contests. He doesn’t have to do much to be a great value at just over the minimum salary, and the 27-year-old has looked promising in his first stint in the MLB.
