Five NFL teams remain undefeated coming out of Week 3: Buffalo, Kansas City, Minnesota, Seattle and Pittsburgh. The Vikings, Seahawks and Steelers are surprises, but the same cannot be said of the Bills and Chiefs.
As such, NFL bettors are making moves on the Bills and Chiefs via DraftKings Sportsbook.
In the last 48 hours, Buffalo and Kansas City are the most bet on teams to win the Super Bowl, by both handle and bet slips. In terms of both handle and number of bet slips, the Bills have the edge over the Chiefs during this time frame.
Coming in at No. 3 in this conversation is Minnesota, both in terms of handle and bet slips.
Conference Winners
Things are less cut and dried when it comes to the manner in which bettors are approaching this market.
In the NFC Winner conversation, one division is dominating.
Over the last 48 hours, the Lions are No. 3 in terms of handle and bet slips. But, two most popular options to win the NFC throughout the aforementioned time frame are Minnesota and Green Bay. The Vikings are the most popular team in terms of handle and second-most in terms of number of bet slips. The Packers are the inverse of Minnesota.
As for the AFC Winner, the Bills are the most popular team in the handle conversation. The Chiefs are most popular in terms of number of bets.
Then things get strange.
Buffalo is second in terms of number of bets, but Kansas City is No. 3 in terms of handle. That’s because Cincinnati is No. 2 in terms of handle, as well as No. 3 in number of bet slips.
After losing vs. the Commanders on Monday, the Bengals are 0-3. There has never been a Super Bowl champion that had an 0-3 start to the season. Also, only six teams have ever made the playoffs after starting the season 0-3.
Odds movement
Sticking with the Bengals, their odds to win the Super Bowl have jumped from +1600 pre-Week 3 to +2500. Only three teams who have seen their odds get longer during the same time frame have seen a larger increase:
- Cowboys went from +1800 to +2500.
- Buccaneers went from +4500 to +6000
- Dolphins went from +4000 to +7000
Meanwhile, the Bills’ Super Bowl odds have shortened from +1200 to +800 over the last 48 hours. Only Minnesota has seen a larger shortening (from +5000 to +2500).
