On Wednesday, Adrian Wojnarowski broke a unique kind of news. The ESPN reporter known for breaking news about player movement announced a move of his own.
Wojnarowski has been a key part of ESPN’s NBA coverage for the last seven years and was the go-to source for breaking news across the league. After his departure, Brian Windhorst could step into a larger role with the ESPN team, or they could add more talent from outside the organization. At the least, there will be a new source cited for many articles that appear on this site!
While he’s stepping away from news reporting, Wojnarowski won’t be leaving basketball altogether. He will join his alma mater, St. Bonaventure, as the general manager of the men’s basketball program. The Bonnies went 9-9 in the A-10 last season and made headlines when they spurned an invitation to play in the NIT at the end of the season.
Woj will look to improve the program and get it back into the NCAA Tournament, where it last appeared in 2018 and last won a game in 2018.
