We’re only two weeks into the NFL season, but so many storylines have already started to develop and take shape. Nine teams are undefeated, nine teams have no wins and 14 teams are 1-1 heading into Week 3. Two of those 1-1 teams get the action started on Thursday Night Football when the Jets host the Patriots. There are 12 games on the main slate of action on Sunday afternoon followed by the Chiefs heading to Atlanta to face the Falcons, who are playing in their second straight primetime contest. On Monday Night Football, there’s a doubleheader this week as the Jaguars head to Buffalo to face the Bills while the 0-2 Bengals host the Commanders.
Each week, I’ll post the relevant info for the biggest matchups from DraftKings Sportsbook to help you find the stats and trends that matter. You can use these numbers to fill out your Week 3 betting card with single bets or combine them into an awesome parlay. Just a quick reminder before we begin, “SU” means “Straight Up,” while “ATS” stands for “Against the Spread.” Spreads used in records are taken from DraftKings Sportsbook at the kickoff of each game.

New York Jets vs. New England Patriots

The AFC East takes the spotlight to start and finish the week and either of these two teams can catch the Bills at 2-1 with a win in this matchup if Buffalo loses Monday night (more on their matchup below). The Jets bounced back from a season-opening loss to the 49ers by beating the Titans last week, while the Patriots lost in overtime to the Seahawks after beating the Bengals in Week 1.
The Patriots are only 5-15 SU in their last 20 games overall, but they are 8-0 SU in their last eight games on the road against the Jets and 15-1 SU in their last 16 head-to-head matchups. The Patriots are also 4-1 ATS in their last five road games.
After getting their first win in the Aaron Rodgers era last week in Tennessee, the Jets take on New England in their first home game of the season. The Jets are only 4-8 SU/3-9 ATS in their last 12 overall and 5-12 SU in their last 17 conference games. They’ll hope that Rodgers can help them continue to turn those trends around and also get them their first home victory against the Patriots since 2015.
The under is 5-1 in the last six games between these two teams and 10-1 in the Jets’ last 11 divisional matchups. On the other hand, the over is 5-2 in the Patriots’ last seven games and 4-2 in their last six conference matchups.
Houston Texans at Minnesota Vikings

This should be a great matchup between two teams that are 2-0 to start the season. The Vikings are 2-0 SU/2-0 ATS while the Texans are 2-0 SU/0-2 ATS. Houston is on the road on a short week after winning Sunday night against the Bears, while the Vikings are home underdogs for a second straight week after knocking off San Francisco in Week 2.
The Texans are 0-5 SU/0-5 ATS in their last five games against the Vikings and are only 3-9-1 ATS in their last 13 games as the favorite. However, they are 5-1 SU in their last six games dating back to last season and 4-2 SU in their last six road games.
The Vikings are 11-4 SU in their last 15 games against the AFC South, but they are only 3-9 ATS in their last 12 home games and 1-4 SU in their last five games as the underdog, with the one win in that stretch coming last week.
The under is 5-1 in the Texans’ last six games against an NFC opponent and 4-1 in the Vikings’ last five games in September. However, the over is 4-2 in Minnesota’s last six games overall.
Baltimore Ravens at Dallas Cowboys

The Ravens and Cowboys both took bad losses in Week 2 and will be looking to bounce back in the marquee matchup in the late window. The Ravens are surprisingly 0-2 SU/ATS after losing to the Raiders, while the Cowboys are 1-1 SU/1-1 ATS despite losing SU/ATS last week at home to the Saints.
The Ravens are 1-4 SU/1-4 ATS in their last five games dating back to last season but are 6-1 SU/5-2 ATS in their last seven games against the Cowboys. They are also 9-0 SU in their last nine matchups against the NFC, and the over is 4-2 in the last six of those contests.
Last week’s home loss was just the second L the Cowboys have taken at Jerry World in their last 18 home games. The Cowboys are 10-5 SU in their last 15 games but only 2-5 ATS in their last seven.
The over is 4-1 in Dallas’ last five games and 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams. Each team has also had both their games this season go over the total.
Kansas City Chiefs at Atlanta Falcons

Both these teams pulled out thrilling one-point wins in Week 2. The Chiefs escaped the Bengals while the Falcons went on the road to Philly and pulled out a late victory on Monday Night Football. They’ll be on a short week as they host the Super Bowl Champs with another chance to make a statement win.
The Chiefs are 8-0 SU/7-1 ATS in their eight most recent games, and they are 12-2 SU in their last 14 road games. They are also 7-3 SU in their last 10 games against the Falcons but only 2-4 ATS in their last six head-to-head contests.
Even after their road upset on Monday, the Falcons are only 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games and 6-14 SU in their last 20 played in September. They are just 2-5 SU in their last seven games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games.
The under is 13-7 in the Chiefs’ last 20 games as the favorite but only 1-4 in their last five games overall, including 0-2 this season. The under has been strong in Falcons’ games, though, going 6-3 in their last nine overall and 4-1 in their last five against the AFC West.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Buffalo Bills

The Jaguars are staring down an ugly 0-3 start unless they can get a win on the road in Buffalo on Monday night. The Jaguars lost to the Dolphins and Browns to start the season, while the Bills are coming off wins against the Cardinals and Dolphins. Both teams are 1-1 ATS.
Jacksonville is only 1-7 SU/2-6 ATS in its last eight games and 0-6 SU in its last six games against the AFC East. However, the Jags have gone 4-2 SU/4-2 ATS in their last six head-to-head matchups with the Bills.
The Bills took care of business last Thursday night in Miami and will have a very long week before playing on Monday night. Buffalo is 8-1 SU in its last nine games, 7-1 SU in its last eight games against an AFC opponent and 5-1 SU in its last six at home.
The over is 6-3 in the last nine head-to-head matchups between these teams and 5-2 in the Bills’ last seven games. The Jaguars’ offensive struggles could reverse that trend, though, since the under is 5-1 in their las six games and 6-2 in their last eight vs. the AFC East.
