With Justin Jefferson healthy, can you start Jalen Nailor in Week 3?

The Vikings are 2-0 after knocking off the 49ers on Sunday of Week 2, but they lost All-Pro WR Justin Jefferson ($8,600) to a quad contusion suffered in that game. After Jefferson’s departure, Jalen Nailor ($4,400) stepped up and had three catches on four targets for 54 yards and a touchdown, his second score in as many weeks.

Jefferson does not have an injury designation for this week, though, and will be able to play when the Vikings host the Texans in one of the best Sunday matchups on the board. Nailor is still worth a look at his affordable DFS salary in Kevin O’Connell’s high-volume passing attack, but his risk is definitely higher with Jefferson available.

Before leaving Week 2’s game against the Niners, Jefferson caught 4-of-7 targets for 133 yards and a jaw-dropping 97-yard touchdown. He and his new quarterback Sam Darnold ($5,500) have seemed to be on the same page so far this season, and he’ll be a top-end play in Week 3.

In that matchup, Jefferson’s Vikings are two-point home underdogs while the total is set at 46. Jefferson is -110 to score a touchdown, while Nailor checks in at +300 to find the end zone for a third straight week.

Even with Jefferson’s return, Nailor does have value, as Jordan Addison will miss a second straight game with an ankle injury. Nailor should be involved and is worth holding on to at this point in season-long leagues, depending on the depth of your league.
