The Los Angeles Rams’ receiving core after two weeks of the 2024 NFL season is depleted. In Week 1, Puka Nacua suffered a PCL sprain and is currently on the IR missing between five to seven weeks. The Rams’ other star, WR Cooper Kupp, injured his ankle this past week and will also miss an extended period.
Without Nacua and Kupp, that means Demarcus Robinson will be Matthew Stafford’s No. 1 option. Robinson is ($5,000) on DraftKings for your daily fantasy contests. With a price that low, the upside for a great performance is very likely.
Robinson totaled eight fantasy points in Week 1 and only seven points in PPR fantasy leagues during his second game this season. Although the production hasn’t been great this season for Robinson, his target share will dramatically increase starting this week against the San Francisco 49ers.
Robinson’s 50 yards in Week 2 were the most by a Rams player. He played in 92 percent of the snaps and drew a 14.8 percent target share against the Cardinals. Even though the 49ers defense did a great job of containing Garrett Wilson in week one, Justin Jefferson went off for 19 fantasy points on Sunday.
The Rams are +7 on DraftKings Sportsbook to upset the 49ers in Los Angeles on Sunday. Stafford needs a big performance in their home opener while trying to get their first win of the season. Robinson will have to be a huge part of Sean McVay’s game plan and if he gets eight to 10 targets, a big fantasy week is in the future. Last season, he scored 10 or more fantasy points when seeing at least 10 targets.
