The Saints and Eagles go head-to-head in New Orleans this Sunday and the opening line for this contest had Philadelphia as a 3.5-point favorite on the DraftKings Sportsbook. However, this line has massively moved in the other direction, with the Saints now as 1.5-point favorites.

This big five-point line shift comes after the Eagles just chocked away their Monday night matchup with the Falcons, in which Philadelphia was a 5.5-point favorite. The Eagles’ defense looked putrid for the second week in a row, allowing 385 yards to an Atlanta offense that struggled mightily in Week 1 and Philadelphia’s pass game struggled sans A.J. Brown (hamstring), with their offense only finishing with 179 yards through the air in the loss.
Speaking of Brown, right before Monday’s tilt vs. the Falcons, the news broke that the star wideout is expected to miss multiple games with his hamstring injury. His expected absence is absolutely a huge factor in why this Sunday’s line vs. the Saints has massively shifted in favor of New Orleans.
Last but not least, the Saints’ inspiring play thus far this season has obviously been crucial for this line movement. After destroying the Panthers 47-10 in their season opener, New Orleans kept their foot on the gas in Week 2 and pulled off the huge upset over the Cowboys in Dallas, embarrassing the team 44-19.
Led by Derek Carr, who has been incredibly efficient, averaging 11.4 yards per pass and with a 5-1 touchdown to interception ratio, the Saints lead the NFL in points per game by a wide margin. As for their defense, New Orleans has allowed the fourth least points per game and the seventh least yards.
All in all, with the Saints at home in the Caesars Superdome, they should be favorited over the Brown-less Eagles this Sunday and attacking them at -1.5 on the DraftKings Sportsbook feels like the right call, as this line may continue to move in their favor.
