Patton Kizzire ($6,900; 139.5 FPTS) has been a professional golfer since 2008. He’s been on the Korn Ferry Tour, Web.com Tour and PGA TOUR. He has two career PGA TOUR wins, both coming in the 2017-18 season.
This year, he has played in 18 events, notching two top-10s, six top-25s and missed the cut in 10 tournamentsโincluding two in the most recent Wyndham Championship and 3M Open.
As a result, not much was expected from him at the Procore Championship, as only 0.48% rostered him in the $300K Sand Trap tournament.
After Thursday’s first round, he was one shot off the lead. He took the lead on Friday and was the favorite at +500 on DraftKings Sportsbook to win it all. On Saturday, Kizzire went five-under and moved to -120. On Sunday, he shot a two-under 70 and locked up his first win in a long time.
On the front nine, he eagled Hole 5 but gave back a stroke with a bogey on the final hole. On the back nine, he bogeyed holes 11 and 16 but racked up birdies on holes 12, 13 and 15.
Corey Conners ($9,800; 103.5 FPTS) was the most rostered golfer in the $300K Summer Sand Trap tournament at 30.71%. He finished 12-under for the tournament for a T7.
