The Falcons fight for bird supremacy when they take on the Eagles this Monday.
There isn’t a more exciting way to watch two of the NFC frontrunners square off than to play the DFS Showdown contest on DraftKings for a chance to win $1,000,000. I did the work, so you don’t have to. Since maximizing salary is imperative, I’ve identified three players likely to surpass their assigned values.

DraftKings Showdown Value Picks
Dallas Goedert ($5,800)
Dallas Goedert is often the forgotten weapon on a loaded Philadelphia offensive attack.
The seventh-year pro has never surpassed 1,000 yards in a season during his career, but is a force on third down and a reliable red zone target. Injuries have limited his counting stats, but he looked fresh when corralling four passes for 31 yards in the season opener. Goedert’s agility and massive frame give him an edge against anyone lined up across from him.
The Atlanta secondary has had trouble keeping tight ends in check in recent years, and adding safety Justin Simmons might not be enough to fix a shaky back end. Even if A.J. Brown ($10,200) is active, Goedert should get enough looks to warrant a DFS start.
Darnell Mooney ($5,400)
Wideouts with track speed are like protein bars; they are all great in theory. Just like the peanut butter chocolate combination on the front of the package feels like it’ll be an incredible time, its hit rate is far worse than any fitness buff cares to admit. It’s the NFL archetype that gets the most chances because the idea of them being great feels so plausible.
Darnell Mooney should be awesome. The 26-year-old runs like a gazelle and has had a few monster games since entering the league because he can easily get behind a defense. In 2021, he had a 1,000-yard season with washed Andy Dalton and rookie Justin Fields tossing him the ball. Since then, he’s languished in abysmal passing attacks, failing to make any real impact.
His first week with the Falcons was much of the same, recording just one catch for 15 yards. Mooney had to deal with an all-time stinker from Kirk Cousins and never got out of the blocks. I’m rejecting that performance and not giving up. Offensive coordinator Zac Robinson needs to get his vertical weapon involved and make this unit more dynamic. Mooney got plenty of snaps, and against an Eagles cornerback group that just got torched by young and speedy receivers, he is due for a monster outing.
Jahan Dotson ($4,000)
I’m never sure what to make of the athletes that are Twitter darlings. For every Justin Herbert or C.J. Stroud, you get a… Jahan Dotson.
The 24-year-old has shown some flashes, but has largely failed to live up to being the 16th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. With solid athletic traits and decent film, it’s hard to pinpoint what exactly has gone wrong. An injury-plagued rookie season didn’t affect his 2023 campaign, where he played in all 17 games.
A smooth route runner with great tools after the catch, it’s possible languishing in the nation’s capital was enough to stunt his growth as a pro. Philadelphia typically loves to run 12 personnel, but Dotson will still be on the field about half the time. At such a low salary with a coaching staff known to maximize its players’ talent, it’s a dice role too exciting to pass up.
