ACTIVE:
Jameson Williams, Jayden Reed, Joshua Palmer, MarShawn Lloyd, Tommy Tremble
INACTIVE:
Jordan Love, Kenneth Walker III, Jake Ferguson, Josh Downs, Evan Engram, Tee Higgins, Russell Wilson
Analysis:
Higgins picked up a hamstring injury last week while preparing for Week 1 and he will miss his second straight game for the Bengals (+6.5; O/U 47.5) this Sunday vs. the Chiefs. With Higgins out again, Ja’Marr Chase ($7,800) will get more work along with Andrei Iosivas ($3,800), who had three catches on six targets for 26 yards in Week 1 with Higgins inactive. — Zach Thompson
Steelers’ HC Mike Tomlin told the media earlier this week that the team is preparing for Fields ($5,400) to start again vs. the Broncos. Russell Wilson (calf; $5,400) was listed as questionable but is officially inactive. Starting in place of Wilson last Sunday, Fields finished with 11.94 FPTS in the win over the Falcons. The ex-Bear threw for 156 yards and no touchdowns, but as always, Fields showed a willingness to run, with 57 rushing yards on 14 carries. The dual-threat quarterback finished eighth in FPTS per drop back last season and must be considered this Sunday, if starting. In his 14 starts over the last two seasons, Fields has amassed 18.6 FPTS per game. — Alex Hunter
The Packers were thrilled that they didn’t lose Love for the season, but they will be without him for at least one game and he is targeting a Week 5 return, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Love was diagnosed with an MCL sprain, which usually means between three and six weeks on the sideline. With Love out Sunday, Malik Willis ($5,000) will start. Thankfully, Reed ($6,000) will play vs. the Colts. Reed is coming a huge 36.1 FPT-performance, but was listed questionable this week with shin and calf issues. Additionally, MarShawn Lloyd ($4,900; hamstring) will make his NFL debut despite being listed as questionable. — Zach Thompson
The Detroit Lions (-7.5, O/U 51) are set to face off with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and star WR Jameson Williams (ankle) is officially active. After awkwardly being rolled up on during a tackle last week, Williams ($5,300) was listed questionable with an ankle issue. The third-year wide receiver was been limited at practice all week. Williams is coming off an impressive performance in which he tallied five receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 (27.40 FPTS). If he is limited in any way, expect Amon-Ra St. Brown ($8,100) to see an increased target share and for Kalif Raymond ($3,500) to see his role grow. — Dan Johnson
After suffering an MCL sprain in Week 1 against the Browns, Jake Ferguson will miss Week 2 vs. the Saints. Before sustaining the injury in the third quarter, Ferguson hauled in 3-of-5 targets for 15 yards. When healthy, he is clearly the top tight end in Dallas and has a significant target share. With him out vs. the Saints, Luke Schoonmaker ($2,900) will likely start and fullback Hunter Luepke ($4,000) will likely be more involved as a receiver. Schoonmaker wasn’t targeted in Week 1, while Luepke had two receptions. Ferguson’s absence could also increase the workload for CeeDee Lamb ($8,800) and Brandin Cooks ($5,600). — Zach Thompson
Kenneth Walker III is officially inactive against the Patriots. Zach Charbonnet ($5,800) is the next man up. The Michigan product only started in two games during his rookie season and should see an increased workload in Walker’s absence. Last season, Charbonnet averaged 28.9 yards per game and got into the red zone just one time while failing to register any receiving touchdowns. Charbonnet will likely carry a heavy workload without Walker, considering their third RB Kenny McIntosh ($4,300) saw no touches last week. — Dan Johnson
After missing Week 1, Josh Downs was able to return to limited practices this week. However, the wideout has been ruled out for Sunday at the Packers. Downs had a solid rookie year, hauling in 68 catches for 771 yards and two touchdowns, and when healthy, he is expected to be the team’s second receiver behind Michael Pittman Jr. ($6,600). In his absence last week, Alec Pierce ($4,500) went off for 24.5 FPTS, Adonai Mitchell ($4,000) had five targets and Ashton Dulin ($3,200) had 12.4 FPTS. The trio will be in store for more work again in Week 2 with Downs missing his second straight game. — Zach Thompson
After apparently suffering a hamstring injury in pregame warmups, Jaguars TE Evan Engram has been ruled out for today’s game vs. the Browns. In Week 1 vs. the Dolphins, Engram only caught one pass for five yards. He also only had four targets; QB Trevor Lawrence ($5,700) seemed much more committed to developing a rapport with new WR Gabe Davis ($4,400) and Brian Thomas Jr. ($4,800). Look for them to continue solidifying their role in the Jaguars’ passing offense with Engram out. — Dan Johnson
