It’s another full slate of baseball tonight andI have plenty of MLB picks to give out. The only game that is in any danger of not being played is the Dodgers at Braves. Aside from that, I’ll give you some of my favorite MLB bets for tonight on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Milwaukee Brewers at Arizona Diamondbacks
The Pick: Brewers moneyline -108
I think the Brewers will take this game against the Diamondbacks tonight. They’ll be going up against Eduardo Rodriguez, who hasn’t looked right since returning from his stint on the IL. Making his debut in August, Rodriguez has posted a 5.83 ERA with a xERA of 6.19 and a 5.84 FIP. His strikeout numbers have taken a NOSEDIVE as well, posting just a 5.5 K/9. This is someone who when with Boston posted over a strikeout per inning in four straight years from 2017-21. If you’re going to rely upon contact for outs, you want to put your defense in a position to make plays. Rodriguez is only generating groundballs at a 38% rate, which is also one of the lowest of his career. There simply doesn’t seem to be a path where Rodriguez can silence an offense, unless it’s the Marlins.
The D-Backs bullpen has also been a sore spot lately. Over the past two weeks, they have the highest combined ERA in the league at 7.55. With the way Rodriguez has been pitching, he’s not going deep into games. He’s yet to complete more than 5.2 in his six starts and has gone under five innings in his last two. Giving more time for the bullpen to throw has not been a strength lately. Even with Freddy Peralta pitching for the Brewers, who has also been going through it, I’m backing the Brew Crew.
Houston Astros at Los Angeles Angels
The Pick: Astros run line -1.5 -120
Have you seen the Angels lineup lately? Go look at it if you haven’t and come back.
Ok, what did you think? What in the hell is that, right?
The Angels, as they do every year, have waved the white flag. Mike Trout is out, Anthony Rendon is on the IL for the 12th (?) time this season. They have nothing right now. So, as you’d expect, the Astros a massive favorites tonight. On the moneyline, they’re -205 but I’m not looking to pay that. I’m more interested in taking them to win this game by at least two runs at -120.
Yusei Kikuchi is taking the mound for the Astros and he’s been downright fantastic since the trade. In seven starts with the Astros, Kikuchi has posted a 3.07 ERA with a .251 wOBA, an 11.6 K/9 and a 3.22 FIP. This Angels lineup hasn’t been strong against lefties to begin with. Now, with the influx of new blood in it, that trend should continue. The Astros should not only come away with the victory, but do so by at least two runs.
Tampa Bay rays at Cleveland Guardians
The Pick: Brandon Lowe over 1.5 H/R/RBI -105
I like this spot for Lowe against Guardians starter Tanner Bibee. He’s been great against righties but lefties have given him a lot of trouble. On the year, he has a .339 wOBA agianst them and a 46% hard-hit rate. Lowe not only has good numbers against righties, but specifically fastballs. Lowe owns a .394 wOBA and a .286 ISO against that pitch when thrown by a right-handed pitcher. Getting him to go over 1.5 hits/runs/RBI at close to even money is a play I’m looking to make tonight.
