Week 2 marks the advent of season-long fantasy managers evaluating juicy matchups to possibly exploit. This, of course, is instead of rolling with your studs. Ex. If you’ve got A.J. Brown going against Sauce Gardner, you may have doubts about whether or not Brown could perform to his highest level, given the difficult matchup.
Every Friday, I’m going to be pumping out streamer columns for all relevant positions for most fantasy leagues: QB, RB, WR, and TE. And we’re looking for for the aforementioned matchups with juice. The ones that feel ripe for fantasy production from under-the-radar, one-hit wonders.

It’s only Week 2, so we’re keeping these lists short today. Let’s take a look at two tight ends you might consider starting if you’re in a, say, Jake Ferguson situation.

Top TE Streamers for Week 2
Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears (31.9% owned; vs. Houston Texans)
It’s Friday evening, and we’re staring down the barrel of some bleak Questionable designations for both Rome Odunze and Keenan Allen. They both feel more Doubtful than anything, what with their extremely limited practice reps this week.
A lot of this has to do with the way Chicago seems to be handling its rookie quarterback. I wrote about some of his advanced passing stats from his Week 1 game against the Titans for my NFL Next Gen Stats: Highlighting key stats from Week 1 piece:
Caleb Williams’s average air yards
Captain Caleb had, let’s face it, a mostly-bad day (22.0 QBR) against the Titans. His final stat line of 14-of-29 passing for 93 yards is ugly.
It’s made worse when you dig a little deeper. Of Caleb’s 14 completions, ten had a completion percentage of over 60%. Which would be great, except for the fact that not a single one of those throws registered more than ten air yards.
Remember: one of Williams’s other completions was a tipped ball that Rome Odunze, in all unlikelihood, snatched out of the air.
Was Chicago protecting Caleb?
What really doesn’t square with me, the more that I look at Chicago’s offense from last week, is how Kmet only ran 12 routes. But I think it’s important to note that Kmet’s average yards per route registered at a figure at 0.3.
Which is to say: If Chicago has any plans on continuing to ease Caleb in, especially with two of his three vaunted wideouts, Cole Kmet will run more than 12 routes. And, in all likelihood, he’ll catch three to four balls, maybe in the red zone.
Foster Moreau, New Orleans Saints (1.2% rostered; vs. Dallas Cowboys)
This is an absolute dart-throw, but I wanted to pick someone spicy as a streamer this weekend. And, now that we know Moreau doesn’t have an injury designation as it related to his potential concussion symptoms, we can feel confident rolling him out on Sunday against the Cowboys.
It seemed to me only a matter of time until Moreau would outrank Juwan Johnson. Moreau was just too talented as a Raider, and he sort of fits as a pivot from the failed Adam Trautman experiment in New Orleans. Not to mention: Derek Carr threw to him there, as well.
Before he left the game with a potential concussion, Moreau had played almost 80% of snaps. Give me someone Derek Carr trusts in the red zone with a confident Saints offense.
It’s a feel play, but most tight end streamers are. I like Moreau for DFS this week.
