Only five games on the slate tonight, starting at 6:40 p.m. ET. No weather concerns are on the board for tonight, so I’ll give you some of my favorite MLB picks for tonight on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Washington Nationals vs. Miami Marlins
The Pick: Mitchell Parker under 2.5 earned runs allowed -120
When it comes to the Marlins against a lefty, I’m always looking at unders. This offense is downright abysmal against lefties that it’s become almost automatic for me. Coming into tonight, they have a they’re slashing .215/.274/.331 with a 67 wRC+ and a .313 wOBA as a TEAM. I mean, those numbers don’t even seem real through almost an entire season. So, maybe now, you understand why I’m always looking to target opposing teams when they’re starting a lefty.
This brings me to Parker, who’ll be making his third start against this Marlins club. Combined, Parker has gone 12 innings, allowing just two runs and six strikeouts. He doesn’t overpower this team but he does more than enough to get the job done. Parker has been fine in his rookie season with a matching 4.43 ERA and xERA to go with a 3.89 FIP. He’s not someone I’m normally looking to back but in this particular matchup against the Marlins, I’ll doing so. I think you can also consider betting him to record a win, which is currently set at +135.
Texas Rangers at Seattle Mariners
The Pick: Kumar Rocker alternate strikeout total 6+ +135
This is a bit of unchartered territory for me with this bet. Not only am I looking to take the over on strikeout prop for a rookie making his debut, but I’m taking an alternate total as well. Kumar Rocker is finally making his MLB debut tonight for the Rangers and he has one of the best matchups to generate strikeouts. The Mariners have the highest K% in the league against righties at 27%. To take that a step further, five players expected to be in the lineup tonight have an individual K% of 27% or higher against righties. Now we have Rocker, who has a 13.5 K/9 through 64.2 innings in the minors pitching tonight.
We don’t really know what to expect from Rocker making his debut, but if his stuff translates at the major league level, he should have no issue racking up the strikeouts against the Mariners. We don’t have a lot of info on what Rocker is throwing but at least from his last two starts, he has an ridiculous slider that he was throwing nearly half the time. Tonight’s expected Mariners lineup has a 42% K% against that pitch. My goodness. I’ll give this alternate strikeout total a shot tonight at +135.
Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees
The Pick: Rob Refsnyder over 1.5 H/R/RBI –110
Refsnyder is a left-handed pitching slayer. He comes into tonight’s game against the Yankees with a .403 wOBA, a 160 wRC+ and a .248 ISO against them. Refsnyder has been red hot at the plate lately as well, logging six hits in 18 at-bats in September with three of them going for extra bases and six RBI. Tonight, he’ll go up against Nestor Cortes who throws a lot of four seam and cutters. Refsnyder has great numbers against both of those pitches, with a .478 and a .434 wOBA against them.
