A really good slate of baseball is set for tonight with every team in action. With zero weather to be worried about, I’ll give you some of my MLB picks you can tail on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Cleveland Guardians at Chicago White Sox
The Pick: Game total over 8.5 runs -102
I think I can count on one hand how many times I took the over on a game that involved the White Sox. Instead, I would take the over on the team they’re facing. But, I have to admit, this White Sox offense hasn’t been all that bad lately. Over the last five games, they’re averaging 4.8 runs per game, which for them probably feels like 10 runs per game. They’re in a decent spot against Ben Lively, who has simply been a punching bag for opposing teams in the second-half. Over the span of 47 innings, Lively has an ERA of 4.98 with a .332 wOBA and eight home runs.
For the Guardians, they have a great matchup themselves against White Sox starter Jonathan Cannon. The rookie induces contact for outs and has a 4.53 ERA with an xERA of 4.68. Lefties have been the biggest issue for him, as they’ve tagged him for a .362 wOBA with 10 of the 15 home runs he’s allowed. The Guardians are loaded with left-handed bats and should feature all but one of them tonight, with Lane Thomas being the only expected righty. This could be a spot where the Guardians put up offense quickly, which is another reason I like this game total to go over tonight.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Texas Rangers
The Pick: Nathan Eovalid over 2.5 runs allowed -105
Eovalid hasn’t been the rock solid starter that we’ve seen in the past. Overall, his numbers are solid but at least as of late, runs have been coming in bunches. This is why I’m looking at him to allow at least three runs tonight against the Diamondbacks. While he’s only allowed at least three runs in 10 of his 25 starts, SIX of them have come in the second-half of the season. Over 53 innings, he’s only four runs away from matching what he allowed through 94 innings in the first-half. Eovalid has also been worse away from Globe Life Field, posting a 4.24 ERA compared to a 3.08 at home. Don’t let this low 7.5 game total fool you, as I’m a firm believer that the D-Backs will have their way with Eovaldi tonight in Arizona.
Washington Nationals vs. Atlanta Braves
The Pick: Joey Gallo over 0.5 H/R/RBI -110
This is a weird article for me. I was saying positive things about the White Sox and now I’m getting ready to sweat out a Joey Gallo prop. Look, I get it, his best days are WAY behind him. The guy hasn’t had a season hitting over .199 since 2019 (holy hell). But, all we need from him is either ONE hit, ONE RBI, or ONE run scored against the Braves. So, how the hell did I land on this, you may be thinking?
Reynaldo Lopez is someone who essentially throws a fastball. It’s a pitch he’s thrown 59% of the time. It’s one of the only pitches that Gallo can handle at this point. And when I say “handle” I use that term very loosely. Gallo is still lifting the ball, earning a 53% fly ball rate on the season. So maybe this is an instance of generating a sec fly, which would cash this bet. All I’m saying is, we’re getting close to even money on a guy that is likely going to see the one pitch he can handle still. I’m willing to take a flier at -110.
