The Dolphins and Bills will battle on Thursday Night Football to see which franchise can gain the upper hand in the fight for AFC East supremacy.
In a contest with plenty of familiar faces, uncovering the guys who could vastly outperform their assigned DFS salaries is vital. I’ve watched the film, crunched the numbers, and come up with three players who I expect will exceed expectations.

Thursday Night Football Value Plays
Jeff Wilson Jr. ($2,400)
De’Von Achane ($9,600) and Raheem Mostert ($6,800) both suffered injuries on Sunday and could potentially be out or limited on Thursday with the quick turnaround. This creates a path for Jeff Wilson Jr. to potentially take over his team’s top back responsibilities and handle an increased workload.
The 28-year-old has been an effective bruiser in the backfield since entering the league in 2018. In 16 career starts, he’s generated over 1,100 yards on the ground and ten touchdowns. He’s overqualified to be buried on the depth chart and is capable of making the most of his touches.
His size makes him effective near the goal line, where Miami loves to pound the rock. Explosive rookie Jaylen Wright ($2,000) might be the exciting play, but I think the Miami staff opts to feed the veteran. Including Wilson Jr. in your lineup at this incredible discount is a no-brainer.
Mack Hollins ($1,600)
I try to steer clear of people who don’t like to wear shoes in public, but I have made a one-time exception. Despite Mack Hollins’ odd and frankly nauseating footwear habits, he is a talented DFS candidate.
The journeyman wide receiver has never fully exploded onto the scene, but at 6’4, his massive frame poses a physical nightmare for anyone across from him. In his first game in Buffalo, Hollins was utilized most in the red zone and across the middle of the field. If offensive coordinator Joe Brady continues to use him in the slot, he should dominate nickelbacks, who tend to be much smaller than their boundary counterparts.
Touchdowns are the name of the game, and if teams are going to continue to bracket Dalton Kincaid ($7,200) around the red zone, Hollins has a chance to break out as the Bills’ premier touchdown target.
Braxton Berrios ($1,200)
If you’ve followed this series, you’ll notice I’m off to a blazing start. Jameson Williams and Colby Parkinson were standout recommendations on Sunday. Jordan Mason (before the McCaffrey news) and Allen Lazard helped bolster my reputation on Monday. I was scrambling for a third value pick for this piece and decided to dig deep into my bag of trips and might’ve come up with my best play yet.
Braxton Berrios has primarily been a return specialist since being drafted in 2018, even being a first-team All-Pro returner in 2021. If week one is any indication, the Dolphins plan to utilize him more as a receiver this season.
Until off-season signee Odell Beckham Jr. returns from injury, Berrios seems to be Miami’s wide receiver three. He played over 50% of the possible snaps but failed to record a reception. Although some view that as a failure, I see that as an opportunity.
Miami loves to air it out, and if Berrios is out there, it will likely be only a matter of time before he delivers a decent performance.
