The Boston Red Sox got 99 problems but power ain’t one. They are fifth in slugging and eighth in home runs. On Monday, they flexed with four home runs, but what was really impressive is that two players went back-to-back twice!
In the third inning, Rob Refsnyder ($3,700; 44 FPTS) sent a 0-1 pitch over the center field wall for a two-run home run.
Tyler O’Neill ($5,200; 35 FPTS) then blasted one way over the Green Monster for the back-to-back jack.
In the eighth inning, the duo did it again. Refsnyder sent a 0-2 pitch into the right field seats.
O’Neill then sent another one over the Green Monster.
Refsnyder finished the night a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, a double and a walk. O’Neill went 3-for-5 with a double.
Ceddanne Rafaela ($3,300; 18 FPTS) also had himself a night, as he had a single, a double and drove in four.
For Baltimore, the lone bright spot was Anthony Santander ($6,000; 23 FPTS), who walked, had a single, a home run and three RBI. Santander now has 40 home runs on the season.
In the $100K Relay Throw tournament, Refsnyder was rostered on 9.1% of teams. O’Neill was on 13.3%. Santander was on 6.4%.
