Updated:

By: Stan Son

In the DK Network Betting Group Picks for September 8 article, Hunter Skoczylas identified three separate players to score a touchdown at any point in the game: Josh Allen, Tyreek Hill and Mike Evans. Individually, Allen was -125 to score a touchdown, Hill was -125 and Evans was +135. All three together had odds of +650.

Allen took care of business with 25 seconds before halftime when he ran it in from seven yards out.

The Miami Dolphins were tied for the highest total on the slate with 26 points, but the Jacksonville Jaguars stymied them for most of the first half. Miami didn’t score their first touchdown until 1:09 left in the first half. Hill finally got on the board with an 80-yard touchdown with 2:19 left in the third quarter.

Per Next Gen Stats, Hill clocked a max speed of 20.27 MPH on the play. He also had 36.4 yards after catch over expectations. He was double covered, yet still managed to beat both defenders to the sideline and turn upfield for the touchdown.

For the final leg of the parlay, Evans took care of business with a pretty 17-yard catch that was tightly contested.

Per Next Gen Stats, the pass had a completion probability of 25.7%.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
