The Lions and Rams squaring off means fireworks are guaranteed to be in the forecast.
Such a massive matchup is well deserving of a DraftKings Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) Showdown slate. While the stars are apparent, managing your money is difficult, which means everyone needs a value play. Here are three of my favorite DFS value players who can easily outperform their assigned salaries.

Sunday Night Football Value Plays
Jameson Williams ($5,600)
Jameson Williams is Detroit’s wildcard. The 12th overall pick in the 2022 Draft has struggled to break out since turning pro. He started his rookie season on the injured reserve list due to an ACL tear that he suffered at Alabama, and had just one catch after being activated in Week 13. Last year, Williams was suspended four games for violating the league’s gambling policy.
The way Dan Campbell has talked about his young wideout has always been intriguing. He’s acknowledged his blazing speed and limitless potential while condoning his lack of maturity. It’s the first time in Williams’ career that he’s had an entire training camp knowing he’ll be ready for Week 1. Whatever restriction the team had on his role previously has appeared to have been lifted.
Goff loves his deep threats, and if Williams can avoid injury and off-the-field incidents, he has all the tools to shine on the biggest stage.
Blake Corum ($4,800)
As if Kyren Williams ($8,000) wasn’t talented enough, Los Angeles drafted the most decorated college running back in this year’s draft. The face of the Michigan Wolverines’ resurgence, Blake Corum is coming off a pair of dominant seasons in the Big Ten. Despite his production taking a slight dip during his senior season when teams started to sell out to stop him, he still finished with over 1,200 yards on the ground and scored 28 touchdowns.
Opposing defenses won’t be able to play Corum the same way with the Rams with Cooper Kupp ($9,600) and Puca Nacua ($9,800) on the outside. He is a rare rookie who might be too talented to keep off the field, and he should immediately get some goal-line work. Corum’s likelihood of finding the endzone and his cheap price are too tempting to ignore.
Colby Parkinson ($3,200)
I decided to get creative. Most of you will inevitably be scrambling for money toward the end of your lineup and need to snag a high-upside player for peanuts. I moved the couch cushions around and found a gem.
With Tyler Higbee starting the season on the PUP list, off-season signee Colby Parkinson assumes the role of starting tight end. During his four years in Seattle, Parkinson was a backup who struggled to get snaps. The Seahawks never utilized the 25-year-old to the best of his abilities.
At Stanford, the 6’7″ Parkinson was a monster jump-ball threat. He used his massive frame to pluck the pigskin away from smaller defenders. The fifth-year pro is a decent route runner, but his size makes him lethal in the red zone. McVay is a master of creativity, and Stafford loves tossing the rock to his tight ends.
As a one-time streaming option, Parkinson is too intriguing to pass up.
