The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to become the first NFL team to win three championships in a row. The journey began on Thursday, at home against the Baltimore Ravens with the familiar cast of characters. Patrick Mahomes ($10,400; 16.14 FPTS) is still the quarterback, Isiah Pacheco ($8,400; 15.8 FPTS) is still the starting running back and Travis Kelce ($9,600; 6.4 FPTS) is still the tight end.

A new star shined bright under the Thursday Night lights, however, as first-round pick Xavier Worthy ($5,800; 20.8 FPTS) showed off the 4.2 40-speed with a pair of touchdowns. In the first half, he took a 21-yard rush to the house, before adding 35-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.

Per the NFL’s Next Gen Stats, Worthy hit a max speed of 18.45 mph, and added 14 rushing yards over expectation.

On the touchdown reception, it was a blown coverage and a simple pitch-and-catch..

Lamar Jackson ($11,400; 29.12 FPTS) did his thing, going 26-of-41 for 273 yards and a touchdown through the air, while rushing 16 times for an additional 122 yards.

But the story of the night for the Ravens was the play of Isaiah Likely ($2,600; 29.1 FPTS). The chatter all offseason was positive and there were indications that he would be receiving more playing time this season, even alongside a healthy Mark Andrews ($6,400; 3.4 FPTS).

Andrews played 53 snaps (71.6%), while Likely was in on 52 snaps (70.3%). Andrews ran 28 routes to Likely’s 24. Andrews received two targets, catching both for 14 yards. Likely hauled in nine of his 12 targets for 111 yards and a touchdown.

Likely looked to have another touchdown on the final play of the game that would’ve led to a do-or-die two-point conversion attempt for the Ravens, but his shoe just clipped the chalk, and the Chiefs ultimately hung on for the 27-20 victory.

In the $2.5M Thursday Kickoff Millionaire tournament, Worthy was rostered on 39.63% of teams, while Likely was on only 14.06%.
