Quarterback
Stud
Haynes King, Georgia Tech at Syracuse, $8,100- Haynes King has started his season on a great note. He led Georgia Tech to an upset win over Florida State in Week 0 and kept it rolling with a convincing win over Georgia State last week. The Yellow Jackets resume play against Syracuse this week who looked really bad on defense in Week 1. Ohio shredded Cuse, which means this Georgia Tech offense should wreak havoc on them.
Other Options- Kyle McCord ($8,400), Avery Johnson ($7,500)
Value
Eli Holstein, Pittsburgh at Cincinnati, $6,500- I gave Holstein out as a value pick last week, and he was one of the highest-performing quarterbacks with 27.5 points. Holstein is still at a pretty affordable price despite proving what he is capable of in Week 1. This is not Luke Fickell’s Cincinnati that he is facing this week. The Bearcats have an offensive-minded coach and didn’t look great defensively against an FCS team last week. Holstein should carry the momentum over and have another solid performance.
Other Option- Cade McNamara ($6,200)
Running Back
Stud
Jamal Haynes, Georgia Tech at Syracuse, $6,900- If you can’t tell, I love the Georgia Tech offense this week. Jamal Haynes has been solid through his first two games of the season, but this is the matchup where he can break out. Syracuse gave up 203 yards and 2 TDs to Ohio’s running back last week. Haynes is licking his chops, looking at how bad the Orange run defense looks. He is set for a massive performance this weekend.
Other Options- Nicholas Singleton ($6,700), Jeremiyah Love ($6,400)
Value
Raheim Sanders, South Carolina at Kentucky, $5,200– South Carolina looked really sloppy in Week 1, but one thing was clear: They will run the ball a ton. Sanders had 24 carries for 88 yards and a touchdown in Week 1. The Gamecocks should just continue to feed Sanders, and hopefully, their offense starts to look better so he can show some real burst.
Other Options- Ja’quinden Jackson ($5,200), Quintrevion Wisner ($4,400)
Wide Receiver
Stud
Colston Loveland, Michigan vs. Texas, $6,700- Michigan has no productive wide receivers, making TE Colston Loveland their only passing target. Michigan completed 16 passes last week, and eight of them went to Loveland. If he can get close to a 50% target share weekly, he is a play-on for the rest of the season. Loveland is the most experienced player on this offense, and the inexperienced Michigan quarterbacks will look for him all game against Texas.
Other Options- Xzavier Henderson ($6,500), Brant Kuithe ($6,300)
Value
Ryan Wingo, Texas at Michigan, $3,400- This is the best bargain on the board. Wingo led Texas in receiving in Week 1 with four catches for 70 yards. Michigan’s secondary is pretty experienced outside of star CB Will Johnson. Johnson will look to take away Texas’ WR1 Isaiah Bond, but that will leave room for every other Texas wide receiver to run free. Wingo showed he can be used in the screen game and on deep routes downfield last week. He is a great athlete with a huge upside and should be a go-to target for Quinn Ewers in this game.
Other Options- Malik Rutherford ($5,500), Tai Felton ($5,400)
Flex/Superflex
You can use any of the other names I listed in the above categories for the flex or superflex positions. However, here are a few more names, just in case.
Stud
KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Auburn vs. Cal, $6,400- The Penn State transfer had a huge first game as an Auburn Tiger, going for 80 yards and two touchdowns. Auburn doesn’t love throwing downfield, which makes Lambert-Smith the perfect receiver for them. They will use him in the screen game and on short passes and let him make magic in space. Auburn will be the better team in this game, but it should stay close enough to keep the starters in all game.
Other Options- Drew Allar ($8,500), Taylen Green ($7,500)
Value
Tyrone Broden, Arkansas at Oklahoma State, $5,400- I listed Arkansas QB Taylen Green as a potential stud option for the superflex above, and there is a lot of value on his wide receiver Tyrone Broden. Arkansas went deep into their bench during their 70-0 route of Arkansas Pine-Bluff in Week 1. However, Broden found the end zone before getting to rest most of the second half. Broden is a starter in this offense with big-play potential and should see a much bigger target share in a game where Arkansas is an underdog and should be passing the ball a lot.
Other Options- Jayce Brown ($4,800), Kay’Ron Lynch-Adams ($4,500)
