Remember when there was chatter about the Houston Astros selling off pieces as they limped into the All-Star break with a 51-46 record? Those were good times. Since then, they have rolled off a 34-16 record with streaks of three, eight, three and now five games after sweeping the four-game set against the Kansas City Royals.

The pitching has been great all series, as the Royals only mustered three, two and two runs in the first three games, respectively. On Sunday, Ronel Blanco ($9,000; 17.05 FPTS) went five innings, struck out three, walked four and did not allow an earned run on three hits.

The Royals finished the day with two runs on seven hits, with a solo home run by Bobby Witt Jr. ($6,700; 16 FPTS) in the seventh inning.

For the Astros, Yordan Alvarez ($6,100; 28 FPTS) started the festivities with a solo home run in the fourth inning.

Jon Singleton ($2,800; 18 FPTS) then hit a two-run shot later in the inning.

In the sixth inning, Alvarez hit his second of the night with a blast to center on a 2-2 count.

All hope for Kansas City was extinguished in the eighth inning as Yainer Diaz ($4,400; 9 FPTS) doubled in a run then Jeremy Pena ($4,400; 7 FPTS) drove in two more with a single.

As for fantasy ownership, In the $200K Bat Flip tournament, Alvarez was rostered on just 10.9% of teams.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
