Indiana Fever and Caitlin Clark rout Chicago Sky 100-81

The WNBA Rookie of the Year race might have been definitively put to rest Friday night in Chicago.

Caitlin Clark ($12,000; 58.5 FPTS) entered enemy territory with a straight face but exited to a massive ovation, likely sealing one of the most intense award races in recent memory. The 22-year-old dropped an efficient 31 points while adding 12 assists. It’s one of the phenoms’ most dominant performances of the season, as she continues to lead the Fever on a post-Olympic surge.

Kelsey Mitchell ($9,400; 26.25 FPTS) chipped in with 23 points, including draining a trio of triples. Clark and Mitchell are making a case for being the best backcourt in the league.

Despite another double-double, Angel Reese ($11,700; 28.25 FPTS) struggled to make an impression on the game. She struggled to finish around the rim and had to navigate foul trouble from the jump. The Sky are just 2-8 in their last ten games and find themselves sinking toward the bottom of the Eastern Conference Standings.

The Fever are now 16-16 on the campaign and are +2500 to win the WNBA title.
