Golden State Warriors superstar PG Stephen Curry has signed a one-year contract extension worth $62.5 million that will keep him in the Bay Area until 2027.
Curry already had two years remaining on his current contract for the next two seasons, but now has added another year, which will keep Curry as a Warrior until his age 38 season. Curry will make $55.7 million next season and $59.6 million in the 2025-2026 season. During the summer, Curry led the United States to win a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics while combing for 60 points in the final two games.
In 2023, Curry played 74 games, the most he has since the 2016-17 season. Curry averaged 26.4 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game while shooting 40.8 percent from deep. Curry finished ninth in PPG while winning the NBA Clutch Player of the Year award.
Although the Warriors have tried to get younger as a team in the past few years, as long as Curry is a Warrior, they will have a chance against anyone. Curry enters his 15th season as a Warrior in the 2024 season. Steph is a 10-time all-star, four-time NBA Champion, two-time NBA MVP, NBA Finals MVP, two-time scoring champion, and a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary team.
The Warriors improved their win total in 2023 by two games but didn’t make the playoffs for the third time in the past five seasons. Golden State is currently +1700 to win the Western Conference and +3500 to win the 2024 NBA Championship on DraftKings Sportsbook.
