Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee will begin the 2024 NFL season on the Physically Unable to Perform list while recovering from a torn ACL and MCL.
Back on January 15, during the Rams’ playoff game in the Wild Card round against the Detroit Lions, Higbee tore his ACL and MCL. Higbee, 31, was a part of the Rams Super Bowl team in 2022 and is entering his ninth season in Los Angeles. Higbee will be eligible to return from the PUP list in Week 5 on October 6 against the Green Bay Packers.
In 2023, Higbee caught 47 passes for 495 yards and two touchdowns. The best season of Higbee’s NFL career came in 2019 when he totaled 734 yards while catching 69 balls.
TE Colby Parkinson will be the Rams’ new starting TE while Higbee is out. Parkinson was on the Seattle Seahawks for the first four years of his NFL career where he most recently caught 25 passes for a total of 247 yards and two touchdowns in 2023.
The Rams are currently at even odds -110 to make the 2024 NFL playoffs, +350 to win the NFC West, +1500 to win the NFC, and +3000 to win Super Bowl 59 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
